DDC Assurance Lab is not an accredited laboratory.

Quality & governance

Trust requires visible boundaries.

DDCAL is establishing a controlled quality system for assessment authority, impartiality, confidentiality, document control, evidence, AI assistance, correction, and review.

Laboratory status

DDC Assurance Lab is not an accredited laboratory. Assessments and reports issued by DDCAL are not accredited results unless explicitly identified otherwise following a future formal grant of applicable accreditation.

DDCAL will not use accreditation language, marks, or claims before they are legitimately applicable. Future accreditation planning and scope will be described separately from current operating status.

Quality commitments

  • Define assessment authority, scope, requirements, and exclusions before conclusions are issued.
  • Preserve adverse and contradictory evidence rather than optimizing the record for a preferred result.
  • Control public document revisions and preserve superseded status.
  • Separate assessment evidence from public web content.
  • Record limitations and uncertainty with the result.
  • Correct or withdraw affected outputs when material defects are established.

AI-assisted work

AI may assist drafting, research, analysis, code generation, classification, or review. AI assistance does not receive independent authority to approve a controlled result.

Where AI assistance is material, DDCAL intends to record its role, preserve relevant provenance, verify critical outputs against evidence, and prevent AI-generated statements from becoming conclusions solely because they were generated fluently or confidently.

Impartiality and conflicts

DDCAL intends to identify relationships or interests that may materially affect impartiality and to disclose, mitigate, decline, or appropriately constrain work where independence would otherwise be misleading.

Confidentiality

Client evidence will not be published by default. Public verification records are intended to expose only the minimum information required to verify authenticity and status.

Corrections, complaints, and appeals

Formal procedures are being established for corrections, complaints, appeals, report withdrawal, and re-review. Until those controlled procedures are issued, inquiries may be directed to inquiry@ddcal.ca.
